In Three Weeks Knute Buehler Posts Powerful Fundraising Numbers

Buehler averages more than $17,000 a day and raises $362,724 from over 1,640 donors

BEND – Dr. Knute Buehler announced today that he has raised over $360,000 in contributions from over 1,640 donors in only three weeks since announcing his campaign averaging more than $17,000 a day.

“I’m thrilled by the positive response we are receiving, but this is just the beginning,” said Buehler. “This year, I will be traveling Oregon to engage voters and advocate for Central and Eastern Oregonians against the powerful special interests in Portland and Washington D.C.”

Of Buehler’s 1,640 donors, 98% came from within Oregon, and more than twice as many came from the Second Congressional district as any other district.

“I will continue to work relentlessly to keep the Second Congressional District Red and bring our message of less government and lower taxes to Washington,” Buehler added.

Born and raised in Roseburg, Knute grew up working in the woods and driving a Pepsi delivery truck. Knute and his two brothers were the first in their family to attend college. Knute earned his undergraduate degree from Oregon State, played baseball and was a Rhodes Scholar. After attending Oxford University, Knute earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He and his wife Patty, a successful eye surgeon, have been married for 29 years and have two grown children.

Knute was elected to the Oregon House in 2014 and re-elected in 2016. Knute was the Republican nominee for Secretary of State of 2012 and for Governor in 2018. In four statewide elections – primary and general – Knute has won the second congressional district four times.
