We forced long-ignored issues to the top of the political agenda. I am sending this newsletter so we can stay connected, be engaged, share thoughts, ideas, concerns, and take action.   Together, we can hold our elected officials accountable and bring real change

Bob Maxwell, a true American hero and servant leader in our Central Oregon community gets the thumbs up this week. As a longtime resident of Bend, Bob was the oldest of all of the Medal of Honor recipients still living in the U.S. My heart was heavy to hear the news that Bob had passed.

Allen Alley gets the thumbs up and gets it right with his opinion piece, "Democrats pick our pockets with kicker heist." Brown’s PERS reform proposal to swipe our kicker and raid the workplace safety insurance fund doesn't solve anything. Time for meaningful reform that will guarantee new dollars get to kids, classrooms, and helping the

I greatly admire Oregon Secretary of State Dennis Richardson and his team. Secretary Richardson is serving Oregon well. He is professionally upholding the duties of the SOS office in a nonpartisan and effective manner. Richardson is making real impact by bringing much needed accountability. I'd like to especially highlight two recent audits regarding marijuana

I would like to recognize former BOLI Commissioner Brad Avakian for having the courage to hold legislative leaders in his own party accountable for the widespread sexual harassment and a broken culture in the state capitol. Also, new BOLI Commissioner Val Hoyle for rightfully not overseeing the ongoing investigation for concerns with regards to
